Join us for a special morning workshop by Foad Alijani!

Afterimage is an experimental workshop exploring how a visual impression persists beyond the moment of seeing, where an image is understood as something that takes place through experience. It begins from the idea of image consciousness, considering how our understanding of images shifts between perception, memory, and imagination, and how each encounter with an image is shaped by the act of looking itself.

Within this framework, the image is approached as an event that unfolds through attention and perception, rather than something that remains stable. Expanding on this, the workshop includes a performative and practical segment in which participants work with simple image-making and recording exercises to explore the transition between still and moving images, testing how repetition, duration, gesture, and framing can activate and transform a static image into a moving one through direct engagement.

The workshop will be held in English and will take 2,5 hours.

Price: 6.00
