Screening Weedeater

Screening Weedeater on Thursday March 17 at 7 pm.

Join us for a screening of Weedeater, a documentary about plant communicator and radical ecologist Nance Klehm by artists and filmmakers Eden Batki, Marty Windahl and Amy Von Harrington.

In 1580, the French humanist philosopher and jurist Jean Bodin, who was one of the most prominent political thinkers of the sixteenth century, published his book De la démonomanie des sorciers. It formed a criminal relationship between herbcraft and witchcraft and laid the groundwork for an eradication of plant wisdom, to be replaced by a (pharmaceutical) agricultural industry. As part of the exhibition Frenemy, we are presenting Weedeater; a documentary that functions as an invitation for community participation and sustainable cohabitation.
